Projection on the car
Volkswagen Passat roadshow with 3D mapping projection on the car, widely recognized and honored with the INAVATE 2012 award. The main idea was to design a multimedia show featuring projection on a new Passat. It was titled “VW PASSAT SHOW” and premiered at Motor Show to then travel as a Roadshow to six major cities in Poland.
CHALLENGE
The greatest challenge was designing the installation including the car, projection equipment and masking so it could fit into a 9x9m area and a space with maximum height of 4.5m, but also so it could be assembled over just one night.
A MULTIMEDIA JOURNEY
The show we created presented a virtual journey with the new Passat. The audience could explore and experience the new features applied in the car, including the fatigue detection system and automatic parking. Those functions, illustrated with 3D mapping, were guaranteed to stay in the visitors’ memory.
